CARS+Internet resides on Pearson Computer Systems top-of-the-line, super-fast, super-reliable servers at our central computing site. Each server features multiple Intel processors, ECC memory, hot-swap RAID storage, battery backup, and has enormous capacity for growth. Pearson Computer Systems owns and manages these servers, and is responsible for keeping them running. We not only keep the software up-to-date but we also manage, backup and protect your precious data.

We are using Linux for our web servers, mail, firewall and ASP system. This is the operating system we use for CARS+Internet. Our server has been running for over 5 years with downtime only due to extended power failures (twice) or scheduled maintenance (once).

The user interface is through a standard Intel/Windows PC. Just point, click and start working! But, and here's the trick, whilst working in a Windows environment the data is entered through text-based screens. In this way we offer the user the benefit of Windows functionality with rapid data entry - a unique, winning combination.

While using CARS+ the cost savings to your business can be dramatic. You do not need the latest, greatest fastest PC to run CARS+, anything from a Pentium III computer connected with a dialup modem can easily run our software. Basically as long as you can connect to the internet with your Windows PC you can connect to CARS+. You'll also save on network costs as fixed leased lines are unnecessary.

CARS+Internet has built-in Connection Protection so that you never lose any work even if your local Internet call is disconnected. When you reconnect, you pick up exactly where you left off - like magic!

CARS+Internet uses encryption, passwords, auditing and daily backups to protect your valuable data. Because it is expertly engineered and managed, you can trust us to keep your data as safe as or even safer than it would be on your own computer.

CARS+Internet employs an amazing technology known as Session Shadowing. This allows multiple users to view a single user session with all keyboards and screens being completely interactive. Many years of experience have led us to use a selected mix of technologies, Linux for the server, Windows for the PC, HTML and Java for the Internet.
